Welcome to my world. It is a world of Dreams and Reverie hidden down the rabbit hole, somewhere between Narnia & Neverland. It is where Demi Gods dwell and Lost Boys loose themselves in dreams. To get to my world, tilt your computer screen and step through the Port Key. Keep heading straight until you see the 100 Acre Wood, then make a left at Wonderland. If you’ve reached Diagon Alley you’ve gone too far. You will soon reach a fork in the road. To the left will be Terribithia, to the right- Oz.
Take a right and turn left into the Field of Poppies just before The Emerald City. Through the poppies you will find Cair Paravel and Mermaid Lagoon. Dive into the sea between the two and pass through Poseidon's palace. Be careful- you may have to battle a sea monster or two. You keep traveling down until you find a cave which surfaces up onto land. This is where my kingdom lies. The kingdom is the important part.
So what I am not going to do is talk about myself. It is not important that I will never say that my hair is actually brown or that I do not wear glasses. You wouldn’t care if I said that my icon is a portrayal of my inner child.
I will not tell you that I am 16 years old and a 6th year at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft & Wizardry. Nor will I bore you with the fact that I am straight for LGBTQ rights.
I will not say that I am a dreamer or that I have my head in the clouds like no one else you've ever seen. I will fail to mention how much music means to me and that I cannot go one day without it.
I will never tell you that I play guitar and the violin, or that I actually am a loud person if you catch me with a smaller group of people.
You won't get me to say that I am a writer, or that one day I will be a best selling author.
I will never reveal that I care about what a stranger says to me on the street, or that I am memorized by a person's life story. I won't tell you a single thing about me because then you would want to know why I love Harry Potter, and why if I don't like Twilight am I writing a book about vampires and ware-wolves and magic in it. I will never tell you that I am in Hufflepuff, (a Gryffinpuff at heart) or apart of Dumbledore's army. I will not tell you the band I love the most because you'd ask me why I love The Beatles. And if you'd ask me why I'd reply that rap music is terrible to my ears, and love is more my style.
If I were to babble on and on about myself in this box to the left of your screen, I would tell you that I loved food, but you would never get me to admit that I watch Food Network religiously, or that I am also very fond of Law & Order: SVU, White Collar, Wizards of Waverly Place, Victorious, Glee, Pretty Little Liars & Misfits.
And if I HAD written so much about myself, this would be where it ended, and you would have never known that there was much more to me that a first glance of the eye in the hall. You would've never known of my kingdom and never experienced the magic of being a misfit. You never would have sat alone, invisible, surrounded by wonders upon wonders and wondering where upon such wonders you would go next. But now it is all a mystery. A mask. A facade. A shadow that contains not only a girl, but the soul she was born with, and will never have.
So begins the mystery.
